Insert Clever Title Here

Self-diagnosed with writer’s block.  There is no known cure.  No pill to swallow or shot to take.  A few ideas are swirling through this head of mine but once my fingers hit the keyboard…yeah…well…nothing seems to happen.  Feeling very unfocused and very unfunny, so until I get refocused and refunny thought I would borrow words from others.  Maybe you are also going through some sort of challenge in your own life.  Hopefully these quotes will help me (and perhaps you) get motivated!

“Words are wind.”

-George R.R. Martin, A Dance With Dragons

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan.  And guess what they have planned for you?  Not much.”

-Jim Rohn

“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.”

-Victor Kiam

“If you can dream it, you can do it.”

-Walt Disney

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”

-Zig Ziglar

Hope these words of wisdom help all of those that need them in a moment of self-doubt.

Have a lovely weekend!

  1. Writer’s block sucks. Good idea with this post, though. Gets the juices flowing. May need to try this myself! Looking forward to reading more of your stuff 🙂

  2. Loved your topic.. I have been posting just poems and about a week ago I just started posting random stuff.. jaja I cant keep up with myself.. It’s funny, but you made me think, I dont have like an organized blog I all kios, blah blah.. Hmm you made me rethink to re-think my blog.. LOL.. Enjoy your weekend I will be pondering now.. jaja BUT Thanks appreciated your blog.

      1. Well, I’ll take that into consideration.. I hate being organized.. jaja cause then I get all caught up in trying to make it perfect, and that never works for me. LOL Thanks Again.. N Looking forward to following you..

  3. Hits you up.. *self diagnosed* writers block too… Or at least I can’t keep it on the straight line.. odd bit written here and there, then can’t fit them into the right place in the story, which just makes me stop writing

“Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.” << perfect

      1. Definitely not.. its shocking – when I started it just wouldn’t stop coming in order perfectly, writing every chance and now.. nothing, zip, nata. Have about 100 words every other day.. I hate it.. need to cut everything else out and just write/type 😀

  4. My favorite:“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.”

    -Jim Rohn

    That’s good….and so true

    1. I agree and unfortunately I think there are people out there who don’t design their life…sad! On a happier note, thank you so much for visiting my blog!

      1. I like your blog, I think it’s good to talk about the financial goals…but I also like your detours into other areas. 🙂

You’re a funny woman, witty, intelligent. I will enjoy reading your blog, of that I am certain.

  5. I have a solution. Julia Cameron wrote in her book The Artist’s Way that if you wake up and spend about 30 minutes, 3 to 4 pages free-writing, not stopping and not thinking about what you write, you will create “Morning Pages” that at least for me allowed me to embrace her concept, which is to concern yourself with quantify, not quality.

    You can always edit later.

Now, I can wake up and write an entire blog entry, for example, or at least get the beginning of a story or idea that I can develop later. This method of waking, writing, and entering it onto your computer, can set the day to a relaxed, satisfying start. What we wake up thinking is perhaps the most pressing expressive need.
