First day of November has arrived and hope you all had a scary and safe Halloween! I was a bit of a Halloween scrooge this year and opted to stay home and get snuggles from the Hubby and furry babies and watch the first season of American Horror Story on Netflix (it’s interesting).
It occurred to me this morning that I have failed you guys over the last few months with the blatant absence of my “Three Things I Want” posts for the months of September and October. So here is my virtual wish list for this fall of all things I would LOVE to have if I wasn’t in that pesky credit card debt. (Note to Santa: Christmas is next month and I have been a
very good goodish girl this year).
1. Throwback Yoga Pants! Loved “Jem and the Holograms” as a kid and these pants for any workout are indeed truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous.
2. A warning cry. I actually couldn’t find a place where this sign was available for purchase, so this could actually be a DIY project this fall. Our cat is indeed an asshole and our wine glasses which were once an army strong of about a dozen has now depleted to just two surviving soldiers. I love my Orville but he is one furry jerk.
3. A holiday decor addition with sass. Who doesn’t love “A Christmas Story”. I have always wanted a full sized version of the infamous leg lamp to add to my Christmas decorations. Someday it will happen, but for now a girl can dream.
4. Cold weather Seahawks gear. The Hawks have not been playing up to expectations this year BUT I still love them. I have my jersey but the weather is getting colder. Time to bundle up and still show my support for the boys.
5. A quirky bookshelf. There is no better way to spend a rainy fall day then curled up with a book. All of my books are in boxes out in the garage so it’s time to give them room to breathe in a beautiful bookshelf. Here are just a few ideas that are beyond clever!
Hope you all have a fantastic first day of November!
It is officially August but I forgot my three things post for the month of July. The summer is just going too fast! So here it is, the three things I want for July 2014!
These tired old dogs need a facelift and I would LOVE to try this product out. It works like this:
I know it’s gross, but yet oddly ap”peel”ing!
- Sex and the City: The Complete Series.
Confession time: I actually already own this but the packaging has some water damage and I think Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte can all agree that everything should come with a perfect “package” (*wink* *wink*). I loved this show in my 20s but I really LOVE these gals in my 30s. I can identify with each of these women now. My love life is reminiscent of Carrie’s (P, you are most definitely my Mr. Big), struggling with fertility issues like Charlotte, unfiltered and inappropriate at times like Samantha, and brutally honest sometimes in the harshest way like Miranda.
Give your sunglasses a very colorful customization in the funnest way possible: LEGOS!
So there is my wish list for the month of July!
Thanks for reading and see ya back here tomorrow for an all new blog in my #93daysofblogging challenge!
Definitely spent more of my weekend trolling on the internet than I would like to cop to. In my trolling adventures I did find three things that I would love to have this month in my fantasy life! Drum roll please (just make the sound in your head for dramatic effect):
1. GoT Nerd Alert: A bumper sticker that I would be proud to smack on my car’s ass!
Love me some Game Of Thrones but hate me some bumper stickers, however this sticker is just too fantastic NOT to tattoo your car with AND it is only $4.00 (and $2.00 in shipping).
2. Veggie Lover Alert: Spirooli!
Summer is here, which means farmers’ markets and fresh produce! Have been obsessed with this since I caught it on an infomercial ($29.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond).
3. Wino Alert: The perfect summer chair!
This is definitely an item that I could only afford in my fantasy life BUT that is what this entire “three things” feature of my blog is about. This chair is made of wine barrels and has a holder for your wine glass. I can picture myself on my back deck during these upcoming summer nights enjoying a glass of chilled boxed wine in this chair. Alas, it is way out of this gal’s price range ($329.00 for 1 chair, $599.00 for a set of 2).
Thanks for taking the time to stop on by and remember that there will be a new blog every day for the rest of the summer!
Normally on my monthly “three things” blog I mention three fantastic things I want (and normally would buy myself if I were not trying to get out of debt), but since May is home to my birthday I thought I would change it up and share with you all three things I got this May 2014:
1. A Seahawks Jersey…Finally!
P really does listen! My hubby gave me a 12th man jersey (since I have always told him I don’t want a specific player’s jersey since I am not loyal to the players but loyal to the team). He also personalized it with my last name on the back! He got some serious “hubby points” that day!
2. A bouquet of the sweetest kind!
Not much of a flower girl, but I LOVE CHOCOLATE! My mom and dad (though I have a feeling my mommy is the one that put it together…and yes a grown woman just called her mom “mommy”) gave me this bomb.com bouquet! Loved this and love them!
3. A beautiful way to tell time!
Egads! Holy hair and porous skin Batman! Nevermind the close up pic, but this gal always needs more time, and the only way to get more time is in the form of a watch! My in-laws gave me this fabulous Fossil watch (love me some Fossil)! I just love being their favorite daughter-in-law (by default, but I will take it)! Love them too!
I also got jewelry, gift cards, candy, an ice cream maker, a crazy cat lady purse, a journal, one-of-a-kind necklace, home decor, a travel organizer, cupcakes, and money from my parents and both of my grandmas (who I always tell them they don’t need to give me any money but they continue to do so anyway).
The best gift I got for my birthday was all of the phone calls and texts and happy birthday voice mails from all of my loved ones. I am one lucky girl!
Be back tomorrow,
This whole “not spending money thing to get out of debt” really sucks sometimes, especially with so much cute eye candy on the internet. Here are three things I have my eye on this month:
1. A bawdy bookmark!
2. Some Walking Dead swag!
3. A Birchbox subscription!
Oh well, a gal can dream!!
I did want to give you an update on one of my “three things I want this January 2014” post (https://frugoal.wordpress.com/2014/01/27/three-things-i-want-this-january-2014/)
My awesome brother-in-law Tim surprised me with Cards Against Humanity!!!
Thanks for being awesome Tim!
P.S. To all of you ladies out there looking for love, Tim is single and very much ready to mingle.
Thanks for stopping by guys,
Now off to go have a very frugal Saturday!
I love cats (okay, really just my cat), and here are three things feline that I wish were mine!
A cat rug!
Adorable cat rings!
Lastly, KITTEN MITTONS!
My goal this year is to be credit card debt FREE! Which means that this gal has sworn off all unnecessary retail therapy for 2014…but that doesn’t mean a girl can’t daydream about a couple of lovely items she would like to have someday. Here are three things I am daydreaming about this month.
1. A candle with some charm.
This is such a clever idea! Everyone loves a candle, but these candles have a special surprise in the wax: a piece of jewelry! Once the candle starts burning, your special surprise is revealed with a retail value anywhere from $10.00 to $450.00. Maybe my valentine will get me one for 2015.
I am HBO-less but have heard nothing but great things about this show from friends and family.
3. Another funny AND true shirt.
This shirt says it all!
Thanks for stopping by and indulging in my window shopping,
If you are one of my regular and faithful readers, you know that this girl is on a very strict budget for 2014. If you are new to this blog…well howdy…and just to let you know: I am on a very strict budget for 2014. With that being stated, a girl can still look and romanticize about a few items she would buy if she weren’t on that strict aforementioned budget. Here are three things I WANT this month.
1. A crazy cat lady shirt.
I want this shirt! Who doesn’t love a shirt that is hilariously quirky? Not to mention a conversation starter with other lovers of felines.
2. Sad Keanu action figure.
This just makes me happy. What began as a paparazzi photo of Mr. Reeves in a thoughtful moment at the park has turned into an action figure. His action figure does such diverse things like sitting in your car and sitting on your kitchen table and even sitting on your desk. Maybe someday I can splurge on a sad Keanu of my very own.
3. An inappropriately delicious game!
Special thanks to my brother Mike and his lovely girlfriend Emily for bringing this game to the table (literally) for Christmas Eve festivities. The best way to describe this game is that it is a very dirty and perverted version of Apples to Apples. Our family had so much fun being dirty that we went through all of the cards in one sitting. Highly recommend it to anyone out there who has no issue sinning and then laughing about it.
Those are my three things that I want this month (but I am not allowing myself to buy). I did provide the links if any of you are interested in getting them for yourself or someone else. Maybe a blogger who has a birthday in a few months. Just sayin.
Thanks for reading!
